So, here goes. I first met this guy last winter during the feasty christmasy season at a bookstore in Tate Modern, London. He was just paper brown with a blob of blue. But that normal paper brown with a pinch of blue grabbed me by the hand and pulled me in.
Some people say they don't understand the intentions but i just think it's amazing! unbelieBable!!!! I love the way he plays with the lights, the way he presents his pictures, and what he has to say about them.
YES, he is the notable photographer Mark Borthwick.

Mark Borthwick had been practicing, and through trial and error, he had found a technique.
THE technique: with a quick snap open and close the back of the camera, thereby exposing the film to glaring sunlight.
result: absolutely beautiful pictures. amazing, new, irreverent.
